Larry Culp

Larry Culp is a life long resident of Minnesota. He began blogging (Very Angry Bird on Blogger) at the suggestion of a friend shortly after his retirement. He is a retired Lieutenant commander (LCDR) whose specialty was cryptology. Since part of his service was done in the Naval Reserve, he also had a civilian career as a Contract Manager at such companies as Sperry Univac, Control Data, FMC and IBM. He has two grown daughters, and one grandson. He lives with his wife of 40+ years on a wooded lot just north of the Twin Cities. A political conservative, he is located in a very red BPOU within the very red CD6. And that is how he likes it.

Walter Hudson is a freelance political commentator and activist in Minnesota. He is a contributor to PJ Media, and host of the daily Fightin Words podcast. Walter was an associate editor for David Horowitz’s NewsReal Blog, and has been published in FrontPage Magazine and the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Walter also contributes to True North, a well-traveled hub of conservative commentary in Minnesota. Walter has appeared on local television and radio, including regular appearances on Twin Cities News Talk KTCN AM 1130. Walter serves on the boards of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Minnesota, Minnesota Majority, and the Minority Liberty Alliance. He also serves on the Republican Party of Minnesota’s State Central Committee and sits on the Republican Party of Wright County Executive Committee. Walter previously served as MNGOP vice chair of House District 58B, and as a precinct chair in Farmington.

Kevin Ecker

Kevin Ecker began blogging back in 2002 at EckerNet.Com,as a way to extend the range of his voice. While his writings are fairly eclectic, he has lately focused on the immigration issue and national security issues. Occasionally frustrated with the state of the Republican Party, Kevin decided to eventually branch out and become officially politically active by volunteering with his local Republican Party BPOU, Senate District 37. He is now an elected officer, Secretary, of that BPOU and is the campaign manager for his local state Senator. Here at True North, while occasionally putting his sharp tongue to editorials, helps support the site behind the scenes as party of the True North Junta and the True North Tech Team. In real life, Kevin lives in his work-in-progress (house) in Apple Valley with his dog Sadie and his firearms collection.

Ed Morrissey began blogging at Captain’s Quarters in 2003. During the past five years, his work has been published in the Washington Post, New York Post, New York Times, Weekly Standard, and other national publications.
