Obama Brats
One of the things that has me in a tizzy this election is the idea that young people somehow know more about American government and life in general than their parents, and are thus more ‘enlightened’ than their elders. And of course, they want we uneducated paternal and maternal figures to heed their obvious wisdom, and vote for Barack Obama.
The vast majority of these snot-nosed brats have never even filed an income tax return or paid an electricity bill. They haven’t paid property taxes, they haven’t raised a child, and they haven’t had to provide health insurance for their family. They haven’t had to get up five times a night with a crying baby only to have to get up and go to work at a job that they hate. They haven’t made mortgage payments. They haven’t yet lived as an adult with adult responsibilities…but they are chock-full of wisdom, you know. They ‘get it’. Their parents are simply mindless zombies who haven’t yet been blessed with the knowledge and understanding that only comes with being a young, spoiled, idealistic, post-adolescent American.
This disrespect has been evidenced in various YouTube videos, where college students explain how dim their parents are. They seem to exhibit a sense of pride while they show the world how much ’smarter’ they are than their obviously inept elders.
