Katie brings a unique Midwest perspective to the political scene. Katie has a wide range of experience in business, youth outreach and sustainability. As a junior in college, she founded a conservative, non-partisan newspaper at the University of St. Thomas called the St. Thomas Standard. The St. Thomas Standard’s thought-provoking articles and speakers events, like the controversial appearance of Ann Coulter, caught the eye of local and national media giants such as Power Line Blog, Fox News, the St. Paul Pioneer Press, The Northern Alliance Radio Network and AM1280 The Patriot radio. Upon graduation, Katie worked in the commercial real estate industry for nearly seven years. Katie decided to start her blog as a way to engage young professionals in public policy. She has a first-hand understanding of what young professionals are facing across the country in today’s marketplace and she has a knack for communicating innovative solutions.
