MNDOT Orders Palmer Lake VFW to Remove U.S. Flags on Overpass; Flag Rally this Sunday

Written by Nancy LaRoche.

After 8 years of flying Old Glory on the 610 overpass in Brooklyn Park, the Palmer Lake VFW was told it is against the law and the flags must be removed. Commander of the MN VFW, Lee Ulferts called MnDOT and was told because if they allow the American flag, they might have to allow the Iraqi flag. Watch the Fox interview at The Right Scoop. MnDOT then publicly explained that it was a safety issue. Channel 12 News reported that an unknown patriot placed another flag on the overpass recently:

Ulferts said that the flags were originally put up in 2004 in honor of the 34th Brigade serving in Iraq. You can support the flag display with the Parkers Lake VFW at a rally this Sunday, July 22 on the overpasses along Hwy. 610 at Broadway, Zane, Regent and Noble, and 85th Avenue North and Highway 252.
